Axial deep grooved ball bearings may only be loaded axially.
They consist of shaft locating washers, housing locating washers and ball-cage assemblies and are not self-retaining, which means that the bearing washers and ball-cage assemblies can be mounted independently of each other. Housing locating washers are manufactured in flat and spherical design to compensate for static angular misalignment. The spherical design is normally used with seating washers.
