Tapered roller bearings are particularly suitable to support combined loads (high radial and axial loads at the same time).
They consist of tapered raceways in the inner and outer ring in which the tapered rollers are arranged in a window cage. A second single-row tapered roller bearing is often used to be axially adjusted. This bearing combination is fitted in O- or X-arrangement. Single-row tapered roller bearings are not self-retaining. -> The inner ring with roller set (Cone) can be installed separately from the outer ring (cup).
